First successful download using Polar’s IR-USB Interface and my RS800. Not the final product yet, but a good step on the way. I’ll post more details here as development progresses.

We’re having some problems with the forums at the moment. After last night’s announcement of Beta 41, all posts became inaccessible. You can still search the forum here – http://www.otag.co.uk/phorum/search.php – but for some reason the posts don’t appear in the normal view. I’m working on fixing this now, but I may take this opportunity…
I’ve had a few customers recently asking about the status of support for the Suunto HRMs in the latest release of iSMARTtrain, as there’s no mention of it on the website. Basically, iSMARTtrain V3.0.7 supports the Suunto T3, T4 & T6. The reason that it’s not mentioned on the website is that, during the beta…
Garmin have FINALLY released mac drivers for their Forerunner 405 – http://www8.garmin.com/fitness/getting_started_ant_mac.jsp. This driver saves the session data from the FR405 as .tcx files in the following folder – /Users/your_username/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Devices/your_device_id/History. The .tcx files from here can be imported into the current release of iSMARTtrain using the ‘import’ functions in the ‘File’ menu. We are,…
Beta 3 of V3.0.8 is out today. This release is mainly to fix problems with certain .FIT files, and to fix a speed calculation error in tcx files. Download from the usual place – http://www.ismarttrain.com/Beta/ As usual, any problems/questions, etc., please email me or post in our forums.
For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been using a Polar FT80 during my run training instead of my usual RS800cx. The reason for this was to gather some data for introducing the FT80 into iSMARTtrain’s stable of supported devices. The FT80 is Polar’s top-of-the-range “Fitness” watch, positioned above the FT40 & FT60. Like the…
Beta 23 of V3.0.6 is out now. This release contains some improvements to the code for downloading from polar, SRM & Ergomo devices. It will also now will happily co-exist with Polar Websync software. In previous releases, downloadng from a Flowlink device would fail if Polar’s ‘polard’ daemon was running in the background. The software…
