Polar Power Sensor

We’ve just got our hands on a Polar Power Sensor kit which we’re going to fit to my Giant TCR1. I’ve seen some horror stories about how difficult it is to setup and how inaccurate the results can be if it’s not setup properly. Wtih this in mind, I’ve put together the following links in the hope that it’ll help someone else setup their sensor correctly:

Installing the Polar Power Unit

I’ll add to this list as I find more information, and will add details of the fitting our our kit to my TCR1

V4.0.8 is released today. This release fixes a couple of issues with Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) where iSMARTtrain had some problems accessing resources on the internet. You might need to update to this release manually by visiting http://ismarttrain.com/download.php, if the ‘Check for Updates’ option doesn’t show that an update is available.

  • Garmin Express

Just a quick heads-up – for the moment, don’t upgrade from Garmin ANT Agent to Garmin Express. It looks like Garmin Express doesn’t keep a local copy of the files it downloads for your device, so there’s no data for iSMARTtrain to pick up. I’m investigating this further, and will hopefully have a solution soon.
