KraftGeek JustTap Tripod Review
Disclosure: I received this product free of charge from KraftGeek in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Earlier this summer, I was contacted by KraftGeek offering me one of their 226M JustTap Tripods for review. The JustTap is a MagSafe tripod for iPhones.
Upon unboxing, the tripod appears to be solidly made, and weighs in at about 450 grammes. It measures about 33 cm long in its compacted form, and is about 5 cm in diameter. A MagSafe magnetic mount folds out on the top of the unit, holding an iPhone firmly in place – it should be strong enough to hold any size of phone, including the largest Pro Max models.
The innovative feature of the tripod is the button on the bottom. A single tap on the button extends the three legs on the bottom of the unit, creating a stable platform of any size of iPhone.
Pulling on the top of the tripod extends it up to 1.6 metres in height. However, at its maximum extension, I found the tripod a little unstable, especially in the windy conditions we often have here in Scotland.
The MagSafe mount is on a short articulated arm that allows the iPhone to move freely, allowing a wide range of phone positions for a range photographic techniques and styles.
The tripod can also work as a selfie-stick, by extending it with the legs retracted. One of the legs has a BlueTooth shutter remote control.

Bluetooth Remote
The tripod comes with a bluetooth remote, held in a recess in one of the legs. The remote is USB-C rechargeable and I found pairing it with my iPhone to be very simple. simple. Having the remote stored in the tripod is a smart touch, as I’ve got several similar remotes, but I can never find them when I need them!

Summary
Overall, I found the tripod to be fairly useful. At its maximum extension it’s a little too unstable for my liking. However, at shorter extensions, it’s more practical, and the range of moving of the MagSafe mount is welcome. The overall size is fairly unobtrusive for carrying in a backpack or bag. However, given its size and weight, it’s too big and heavy for me to carry on bike, where I do most of my phone photography – in those cases, I’ll stick with my Ulanzi MA29.
