Project ANT – Live ANT+ Data on Your Mac

Finally got the next beta of TrainingLog (http://www.otag.co.uk/TrainingLog/Beta/) out. Still got a few bugs, particularly with the handling of interval sessions, but we’re getting there.

Just a quick heads-up – for the moment, don’t upgrade from Garmin ANT Agent to Garmin Express. It looks like Garmin Express doesn’t keep a local copy of the files it downloads for your device, so there’s no data for iSMARTtrain to pick up. I’m investigating this further, and will hopefully have a solution soon.

Some of our users use one of the many on-line training resources, such as Training Peaks (http://www.trainingpeaks.com), or send data to their coaches for analysing of their training. These generally work by sending Polar format .hrm files of their session data. However, one problem faced by many is that the files won’t be imported correctly,…

Have a look at http://www.bartape.net/ for a series of behind-the-scenes short films about the Cervelo Test Team. The films currently on the site follow the team from its beginnings to the Tour of Flanders, with more promised.

V4.0.8 is released today. This release fixes a couple of issues with Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) where iSMARTtrain had some problems accessing resources on the internet. You might need to update to this release manually by visiting http://ismarttrain.com/download.php, if the ‘Check for Updates’ option doesn’t show that an update is available.
