Device Testing iSMARTtrain V4

As you can see, we’ve moved our blog from Blogger to WordPress. This proved to be a fairly painless operation, even importing our old posts from blogger’s setup. The only thing I haven’t quite figured out yet is how to set categories for the posts. I’ve setup the categories, but there’s no option in the…
In Beta 10, we’ve moved from using a flat file format to a bundle. There’s various reasons for this, including compatibility with the forthcoming iOS version. You’ll need to convert any existing documents you have to the new file format as follows: Open the existing file in iSMARTtrain Select ‘Export to JSON’ from the file…
We’ve finally finished the Mac OS X version of iSMARTtrain. Download from http://www.ismarttrain.com. Now to finish the Windows and Linux versions.
We’ve just got our hands on a Polar Power Sensor kit which we’re going to fit to my Giant TCR1. I’ve seen some horror stories about how difficult it is to setup and how inaccurate the results can be if it’s not setup properly. Wtih this in mind, I’ve put together the following links in…
Beta 39 of iSMARTtrain is now available. Only the Mac version is available at present. As usual, you can download a copy from http://www.ismarttrain.com/Beta/. As before, this release requires a valid serial number – V2.0 serial numbers are valid. For the remainder of the Beta period, we’ve held the price at $39.95/€34.95/£23.95. You can buy…
[vimeo 126395032 w=500 h=281] Here’s our new video for iSMARTtrain, which gives a brief overview of how the new version works. It was filmed using a Garmin VIRB Elite and a Canon 100D. The screen captures where done using ScreenFlow 5.0 and the video was edited in iMovie. The opening scenes were filmed earlier with…

Can’t wait to see 4.0 Steward!
What? Something is happening? I’d finally reached the point of assuming that iSMARTtrain was dead and have been looking for alternatives. Sorry for the snark, but I’d really like to move on to a device more recent than my decrepit 11 year old Polar. I’d love to stay with iSMARTtrain. If the product is still alive, give us an ETA for the update and what devices it will support.
Hi,
No ETA yet – hoping to open the beta testing up to more users later this month – at the moment, I’m using a handful of testers to hopefully get the majority of bugs ironed out.
V4.0 will support all the Garmin devices, Cycleops Joule & Cervo, SRM PC V, VI & VII and all the Polar devices that V3 supported. I hope to support the newer Polar devices and the Suunto ones, but this may be through their websyncing software.
Stuart
Will V4.0 go with my “Polar RC3GPS”? I’m looking for a software like iSMARTtrain! Can you send me a message, when it’s ready?
