Mill of Tifty Photos
In the galleries section, there are some photos I took recently at the ruined Mill of Tifty.
The mill dates back to the 17th century and was originally a corn mill, driven by a waterwheel. Latterly, the waterwheel provided power to nearby farm buildings via a system of ropes and pulleys.
The mill is also believed to have been the home of Agnes Smith, better known as Mill of Tifty’s Annie, immortalised in the ballad of the same name, and buried in Fyvie Churchyard.
